This article provides a long but thought-provoking look at the effects of long term national debt/GDP on prosperity. There are lists of potential government actions which would improve the ratio, and related critique of current administration policy. I found it useful mostly because it puts many categories of activity in one place while describing ‘good’ and ‘bad’ paths for each and contrasting each with apparent administration strategy. The Crash Course at this site for provides a non-traditional view for where we are as a country and world with respect to Economy, Energy and the Environment. This is not for the faint of heart, but will certainly provide lots of material for discussion within the group and will perhaps cause some to consider the need for change in their outlooks regarding short to long term prospects for the economy and investments. It suggests we are in for a long period of retrenchment financially, complicated eventually (years, not decades) by peak energy issues. ChrisMartenson.com/CrashCourse
